Greg interviews Nick Bianco, the champion of Wadsworth Recovery Connection (WRC) in the City of Wadsworth, Medina County, Ohio. As a recovering addict, Nick is deeply committed to helping others suffering from substance abuse regain their lives. He is responsible for bringing WRC to Summit County. WRC is a phone-based service within the Wadsworth, Ohio area, connecting those that need help with the appropriate resources and support they need. Nick shares the story of his past struggles with substance use disorder and his passion for helping others.

Greg asks Nick how the WRC program helps those suffering from substance abuse. After struggling while on waiting lists for detox himself, Nick decided there needed to be a better way to get people into treatment and detox. He says time is of the essence, if you make them wait too long, you’ll lose them. Any wait time can be very problematic. Nick goes on to explain how WRC acts quickly to usher those reaching out into detox programs. “A lot of people call in one time and we never hear back from them,” says Nick. “There’s no off switch…If you’re struggling, you need help and time is of the essence. You can reach out to us 24 hours a day.”
