Bishara Addison graduated in 2010 from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Science she has dedicated her career to working with folks who face barriers to entering the labor market. Notably, during the latter part of 2012 and the spring of 2013, Bishara was engaged in a statewide advocacy effort to shape policies around collateral sanctions. From 2014-2016 through Bishara worked in a public school district working on special projects that included the roll out of a customer service strategy, non-union evaluations, opening new school models, closing poor performing schools, and a campaign to reduce chronic absence. She has transitioned back to focusing on policy related to workforce and reentry as well as supporting the Issue 1 campaign by educating nonprofit organizations of the potential impact of the amendment if passed on those with criminal records.
