Jamie Messenger is the Hudson Drug and Alcohol Community Resource Specialist for Drug Safe Hudson. She is a licensed chemical dependency counselor and has extensive knowledge of drug and alcohol resources available to Summit County residents. She works full time for Oriana House, supervising the specialized housing unit for individuals with a diagnosed mental illness, many of whom also have diagnosed substance use disorders. She enjoys volunteering, spending time with her husband and staying active with her teenagers.
Her desire to help others can be traced back to volunteer work as a GED tutor for women in public housing or seen in her current volunteer role with Summit County Children’s Services Board. She is also focused on putting her passions and skills to good use for organizations and projects she cares about to include supporting Client Advocacy Committee as a member of NAMI Summit County Board of Directors.
