Keary McCarthy is the Executive Director of the Ohio Mayors Alliance, a bipartisan coalition of mayors in Ohio’s largest cities and suburbs. Formed in 2016, the Ohio Mayors Alliance helps to build greater collaboration between Ohio’s mayors and stronger partnerships with local, state, and federal lawmakers. Keary brings over 15 years of experience in government and politics to his role. He previously served as the minority chief of staff in the Ohio House of Representatives and as the Chief of Communications and Policy at the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Keary has also worked on a variety of statewide campaigns in Ohio, including the 2008 presidential campaign. He received his bachelor’s degree in history from Wittenberg University and his master’s in policy analysis from Cleveland State University. Keary is a life-long Ohio resident, and lives in Columbus with his wife, Lori, and their two young children.
