Minda Brown Jaramillo is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who has worked in the field of Mental Health and Substance Abuse for over 30 years. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio she attended Kent State University with an undergrad major in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. She is currently the Behavioral Health Services Director for First Choice Community Healthcare in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a not-for-profit community health center where they provide integrated treatment services.Minda spent much of her career working with adolescents and their families who struggle with co-occurring disorders in both a residential and outpatient setting. The last 15 years have been spent working in direct service and in management where she has been involved in program oversight and development.
She is currently involved in expanding the Suboxone program at her agency to increase access for patients and provide comprehensive treatment for those struggling with opioid addiction.
